A day at the beach

Thanks to Caitlin and Dan for the fun this afternoon at the beach. Caitlin is an amazing professional dancer and an awesome person as well. She was great to work with and man can she jump, and jump, and jump.

It’s always a treat to work with another photographer even when I’m the subject.
Thanks Jay, we’ll do it again one day soon.
Spending time with family is always a joy and my sister’s kids are always so much fun to run around with. My wife and I spent Easter in Calgary and after my bro-in-law and I finally finished putting the playset together the kids were all over it and I was all over them!
They eventually forgot about me and just went for it.
So it’s been a bit since I’ve made any updates which means it’s definitely time for a quick update!
Well, I went off to Calgary a few times to visit family and friends and shot my first wedding of the year. (More on that another day.) I also had some new web projects to contemplate and complete. Worst of all, and the largest trial, my PC’s hard drive kicked the bucket, threw me a blue screen and took a week and then some to get back up to speed. All I can say from the last part is that if you aren’t backing up your critical stuff somewhere, you should be!
One thing that came of it is a new tool. A macbook. That’s happiness.
There are still some dates left open for weddings this summer, so if you know someone that hasn’t booked their photographer yet by all means send them my way!
Take Care.
The snow is melting, the birds are singing and the cars are creating this lovely mist resulting in a polka dot camera and sunglasses. Having lived in Calgary for the past 8 years I’d forgotten how early Spring starts here. Or that there is one for that matter! (Sorry Sandi, but it’s true. We have spring here). It’s already warm now and from what I’ve been told and remember there isn’t much danger of another cold snap and blizzard. And it’s only February.
While that might be a bit optimistic, I’ll remind you that I just came back to the Okanagan from Calgary. Enough said? Good. I like it here. I’m glad to be home.
