Lunch 01.31.08

January 31, 2008

lunch-02.jpgIt’s never been easy being an entrepreneur with a full time job, but I’m certainly not the only that has/is or will do it. I enjoy the freedom of being my own boss while having the security to know that I’ll have a regular paycheque. It means we can pay our bills and have food on the table. I’m told that’s important.

lunch-01.jpgWhat it also means is that I don’t often see my friend the sun especially at this time of the year. It gets dark before 5 when I go home and when I do manage to get away for lunch, it’s cloudy and I’m usually on a mission. Believe it or not I’ve still had moving errands to get done after all this time. I think those are done now though. But being off of work after dark also reduces my time with my camera in hand making photographs.

So in light of that, the lack of sun and play photography that is, I’ve decided to get myself out of routine and meet the sun again. Well, for as much as it will be out that is. What I’m doing (and I’ve actually already started) is making a point of getting out of the office as much as I can, and taking my camera with me. It’s a simple series called Lunch and hopefully I’ll carry it on for at least a month if not longer.

lunch-03.jpgFor the immediate future I’ll have a couple or three clickable photos here, but in time I’ll put up a gallery with all of the images.

So, thus begins my series. Lunch. I hope you enjoy keeping up with it as much as I really enjoy being outside.

Happy New Year!

January 31, 2008

It’s a brand new year and time for resolutions. I’ve had it in mind to properly redo our website and add a blog for some time now but never put the time aside to do it. Well, I’ve finally done that (obviously) and made it part of my business process to sit down and let you all know what I’m up to. So being the beginning of a new year, like many businesses I’m evaluating last year and what I did and didn’t do, should have and shouldn’t have done and how I’m going to refine what I do this coming year.
